"I Hear A Symphony," by The Supremes, originally from _#1's_ (2004). For Abby, who's having a birthday party today! Abby and I share a Supremes finger wag, which always makes me smile. I was young and impressionable when I read Fred Bronson's proclimation that "I Hear A Symphony" was the best pop song ever. It absolutely changed the way I heard the song forever. Over time, I think I've come to love it on my own terms. Here's hoping Abby will do the same. "Whenever you're near, I hear a symphony... a tender melody... pulling me closer, closer to your arms."
